Stupid idea really

Must of been hungover

I was contemplating the possibility of Microsoft releasing their own distribution of Linux.

Their dependence upon operating system software is starting to plateau as people increasingly choose not to upgrade, or indeed, actually decide to use another operating system.

Microsoft could port their applications to Linux. Commercial software ofcourse. This move would provide people with the choice of operating system, and still allow them to use their favourite software.
