It's Australia Day.

It's the birthday of my good friend Stuart.

Or is it Stewart? Why is there a choice?

The Liberal Party of Australia wants to remove the Aboriginal tent embassy in Canberra. Is that an act of aggression? (NB: rhetorical question)

Parallel lines do not meet.

26^th January 1999

Given that it's a public holiday I could rescind from my self imposed obligation to amuse the 2 or 3 unique users that visit my site every day (and growing!).

But I push even harder to achieve my aim of daily ranting. Not really a challenge, since I am wanton bullshit artist and digital communication junkie.

This obsession is not making me any money yet and I feel like a workaholic. So I'll keep it short.

The pace of consumption demanded of us is cruel at the best of times. The need to earn money means that when one is possessed to pursue a non-financial passion, the true evil of our times becomes apparent: we are robbed of our natural human right to authentic liesure.

The collective desire for lots of things far surpasses that for lots of time. This enslaves us all to someone else's agenda. Or more accurately, we are robbed of then ability to pursue our own agenda.
