All politicians lie.

Voting every few years for another idiot seems pointless.

The rich get richer.

Sitting on cold concrete gives you piles.

The sun will rise.

I am over parties

We in Australia suffer short term dictatorships because of the party political system. The members of our parliaments need be no more than pure representatives of the electorate they represent.

A party wins, then gets free run for some years. And they want to get rid of the senate.

To join a party and then vote along party lines, rather than according to the wish of the people is unacceptable. Why doesn't the representative caucus with the people they represent?? A politician will so often tell us solemnly through transparent implication that they would rather vote differently, but they are bound to the party position.

So why not simply be bound to the people's position?

Any member in the lower house can initiate a bill. For any bill, any combination of representatives could support either position. But, instead we get party A and party B, with the occasional independent "with too much power" because they have the deciding vote. Nonsense.

Pure Misinformation.

Make all votes for legislation "a conscience vote" and we would achieve a parliament with proper functioning.

Encourage more independents to enter parliament.

The sooner we realise that the political parties in this country are illusions designed to smother the will of the people, the sooner we regain control of our destiny. The push for "stable government" simply means the guaranteed control of the lower house at least, by only one of the parties.

Parliament is the important thing. The ratified vote of the members of the house on any issue.

The effective control of parliament by a party is euphamistically referred to as "the government".

Now what was I reading about the evils of organised crime....?

end of rave.
